The House Bunny is comedy about Playboy bunny who got kicked out of Hugh Hefner mansion and her life after that moment... she spent few days on street and even in jail, then joined group of geeky sorority girls Zeta Alpha Zeta to help them keep their house with usage of her "Playboy bunny talents" :) The House Bunny is watchable, nothing special really but it managed to provide me with few good laughs... and of course with lots of Playboy beauties and insight of life in Hugh Hefner' mansion :) The House Bunny will get 3 out of maximum 5 from me...

Another awesome movie i am adding to site in today's update :) The Duchess is movie based on true story about personal and political life of British aristocrat Georgiana, Duchess of Devonshire... The Duchess shows glamorous life of nobles and aristocrats but also many bad aspects of British society from 18th century... Oh yes, i have to add, Keira Knightley looks just beautiful in whole movie !!! And she played her role perfectly in my opinion :) The Duchess will get awesome 4.5 out of maximum 5 from me, it's a must see if you ask me :)

Watching The Forbidden Kingdom was just great :) It's great martial arts fantasy movie that will entertain and relax you, something not to expect from movie full of combats... When i mentioned combats, most of them are very good and the one between Jet Li and Jackie Chan was just awesome :) plot is also pretty good for a fantasy movie... what i have to mention is music in The Forbidden Kingdom, it's just great... The Forbidden Kingdom will get very good 4 out of maximum 5 from me, all of you who are into martial arts and fantasy movies check it out :)

The latest part of Saw movie series... It was what i expected, horror-crime with lots of sick and bloody scenes... Many have told Saw V will be the worst part so far before it hit the public but in my opinion they were wrong :) It is not the best part but is defiantly worth watching, especially if you liked previous Saw movies... Saw V gets pretty good 3.5 out of maximum 5 from me :)

Very good horror / sci-fi :) maybe too bloody for my taste, i'm not a huge fan of horror movies but i love to watch them from time to time... Quarantine follows two tv reporters who were filming life of firemen on duty and ended up in a building that was later sealed by government because of deadly disease... what i liked in Quarantine a lot is the way it was shoot - the same way as Cloverfield 2008... whoever loves horror movies and idea of deadly, mutated diseases should watch Quarantine :) i am giving it 4 out of maximum 5...

Great movie :) Mamma Mia might be the best musical movie i've seen in 2008... 20-year old girl is about to get married but she doesn't know who her father is... She spent all her life with mother on a small Greek island but shortly before wedding she founds that her mother dated 3 guys in very short period and any of them could be her dad... So she secretly, without her mother's knowledge, invites all 3 of them... Mamma Mia is very funny and entertaining movie, music during movie is just awesome (of course, those are ABBA's hits) :) Mamma Mia gets 4 out of maximum 5 from me - surprise your g/f and watch this together sometime ;)

I know i didn't want to watch Charlie Wilson's War again but i had to play it anyway - my dad watched it yesterday and told me it was not so bad... I know i hated the movie when i saw it for the first time so i had to play it again and see if it's possible that my dad is so liberal, deep into system, and could swallow all that political propaganda that's all over the movies i'm so sick of in last few years... Charlie Wilson's War is another movie where Americans are saving the World (especially resourceful parts of it) from evil Russians, or whoever else their excuse can be and i'm sick of all of that... And i have decided to stop writing about movies that have any sort of political propaganda in them from now on and to rate them with lower rates than they have deserved - to boycott them in other words... Charlie Wilson's War, enjoy poor 2 out of maximum 5 from me :(

Ok, this was a good one :) Lakeview Terrace did something that a very small number of movies managed to do to me - to make me hate some character so bad that i wish i could get into movie and kick his bottom :) Samuel L. Jackson played his role as dirty cop who's also a racist just perfectly in my opinion... Lakeview Terrace is movie that shows us what a guy like that can do when young inter-racial married couple moves in house next to his... Lakeview Terrace gets very good 4.5 out of maximum 5 from me, don't think about it - just get it and watch it if you ask me :)

The Alphabet Killer is movie based on true killings in Rochester, NY... Personally i love movies based on true stories because i'm aware what i'm watching actually happened to someone... I liked The Alphabet Killer because it kept me tense whole time and till the last few scenes i couldn't tell who the serial killer was... On the other hand mental problems of main character were a bit distracting and i think movie would be better if it was only focused on murders and killer... Anyway, The Alphabet Killer gets solid 4 out of maximum 5 from me :)

Killer Movie meant to make fun of flaws and cliches used over and over again in reality tv and horror movies... Instead of becoming a good comedy-horror mix movie it ended up being very stupid and unfunny... Movie follows a group of young people, director and his film crew, who came to small town for shooting a movie and ended up being chased and killed by local serial murderer one by one... My final words about Killer Movie are: "Was it scary - NO... Was it funny - HELL NO"... It was just a huge waste of time and for that it gets 1.5 out of maximum 5 from me...

Control is great biography movie about Ian Curtis, vocalist of the British rock/punk band Joy Division... Control movie covers period of last few years in Ian's life (from 18-19 to 23 when he hanged himself)... After Ian's death remaining 3 members of Joy Division reformed into new band, New Order, that is active since then... Control movie gets 4.5 out of maximum 5 from me, anyone who loves Ian Curtis, Joy Division or New Order should check out this movie :)

Before getting Hero Wanted i heard good words about it, that it's about just a regular guy who became local hero by saving a girl's life and i really liked the idea... However after watching it myself i was a bit disappointed... it's not completely bad, i mean idea is there, it could be awesome crime movie without destroying half a town with flashy explosions and special effects, but something was missing... Maybe it was too slow for my taste... Hero Wanted will get 2.5 out of maximum 5 from me...

For start i want to say that Hancock is one of my favorite movies from 2008 :) the starting idea behind movie to have superhero that's most of times in bad mood, who has many bad habits including alcohol problems etc was just cool... and there was no evil counterpart that good one will fight against like in all other superhero movies :) without anymore delays i am giving Hancock 4 out of maximum 5...

It was nice to watch good and slow family drama for a change after several action movies i watched recently :) Frozen River is movie about woman who lives alone with her two sons near Canada-USA border... Since her husband left she is in debts and can't cover them all with regular job, so when she accidentally met girl who smuggles people into USA she was forced to join her in order to earn some extra cash... That's when problems started... As i said Frozen River is good drama and i'm giving it very good 4 out of maximum 5 :)

An Inconvenient Truth was made in 2006, it features efforts of Al Gore to inform as many people around the World about fatal consequences global warming can and will have on Earth climate... It's an excellent documentary that explains how CO2 causes global warming, how it effects polar ice caps and how ocean levels will rise after their meltdown, also explains connection of global temperature rise and increasing numbers of strong hurricanes that devastated USA, India and Japan in last several years and many many other subjects related to global warming... An Inconvenient Truth will get pure 5 out of maximum 5 from me :) if you haven't seen it already find it somewhere and inform yourself about problem that connects all of us who live on Earth...

I just finished watching of "XIII - The Conspiracy (2008)" that lasted about 3 hours :) that's a little too long for my taste but it was worth time spend... it's about NSA agent that infiltrated into a well organized group of specials who assassinated the first ever female USA president... as i said, it's ok action movie and it gets 4 out of maximum 5 from me :)

Semi-Pro is movie about Flint Michigan Tropics, ABA basketball team trying to get into NBA after merging of two leagues... Movie is entertaining and most of time focused on it's main subject - basketball, games and players... There are few funny scenes, not very much but just enough i can add it in comedy movies category also... Semi-Pro gets 3.5 out of maximum 5 from me but if you love basketball as i do consider it 4 :)

I was looking at some titles i have watched some time ago and saw Anamorph from 2007... Since i couldn't remember what it was about i just played it expecting good thriller (it was marked as one on my movies list)... Damn, was i wrong... after 15-20 minutes i knew why i couldn't remember it - i never watched it till the end because first time when i played it i got so bored after half an hour that i just quit it and played something else... However Anamorph stayed on my PC because i wanted to give it another chance one day just in case i wasn't in mood for thrillers that day... But as i said it failed again and i am giving it 2 out of maximum 5 and recommend everybody to avoid it...

Zeitgeist Addendum is second movie made by The Zeitgeist Movement and just like first one is a must see :) i am not going to write a lot about it, i'll just say they cover several interesting subjects just like in first movie so go to Zeitgeist site, download both movies in case you haven't already seen first one and watch them. Zeitgeist Addendum gets 5 out of maximum 5 from me and as i said at the end of first movie review: "World CAN be a better place and knowledge is the only way to achieve it and make changes at some point in future of mankind :)"

Zeitgeist is one of movies that changed me as a person and ways i look at World we all live in :) It uses pure facts to disprove some of the lies/stories World has ever seen/heard of... 1. It uses pure facts and astrological movements of planets and stars to uncover the biggest lie ever told, the story of Jesus Christ and Christianity (sadly but i believed in it for 25 years before i watched Zeitgeist)... 2. It again uses pure facts to uncover that 9/11 was an inside job of USA government in order to get approval and start war in Iraq... 3. It uses more facts to explain how American Federal Reserve System and Income tax, how they make money out of nothing and destroy USA economy for decades and decrease USD values by non-stopping inflation... Of course Zeitgeist gets maximum 5 from me and i beg all of you who read this post to go to Zeitgeist site, download all movies and watch them. World CAN be a better place and knowledge is the only way to achieve it and make changes at some point in future of mankind :)

Here we go, another movie with terrorism and terrorists, one of many many others made in near past... Will American propaganda ever stop? Like anyone who got half of a normal human's brain will ever swallow it (check out Documentary category and Zeitgeist movies to see who really was behind 9/11 and other so called "terrorist" attacks) :( anyway, i'm not here to talk about politics but about movie and Traitor is a good one... It offers lots of tense action, insight view of Muslim life and habits (i can't say how much it's relevant since i'm not Muslim tho) and few unexpected turns in story that will keep you interested till the end :) I'm giving it 4 out of maximum 5 :)

Pineapple Express is very good crime-comedy about two guys (stoner and his drug dealer) running for their lives as they are being chased by local drug boss and corrupted woman cop who killed some Asian guy (member of Asian drug dealers clan) because stoner guy witnessed that... Whole movie is filled with funny scenes, pretty good characters and good story for a comedy... Pineapple Express will get very good 4 from me and you should definitely check it out :)

18 Year Old Virgin is probably the worst comedy i have watched in 2008... I have no much to say about a movie with so stupid and unmoral title and scenes... No one can find this movie funny or entertaining, rather you can consider it a soft-core movie for adults with lots of nudity and erotic scenes... 18 Year Old Virgin will get 1.5 out of maximum 5 from me which means you shouldn't waste your time with it, just pass it :)

Here's short review of great comedy i watched few months ago but played it again yesterday :) Just like the first time when i watched Zack and Miri Make a Porno i had lots of laughs and fun and once again i was pleasantly surprised with usage of "professional adult terminology" and various toys including Fleshlight... i guess we should thank adult industry professional stars that were part of this movie (Traci Lords, Katie Morgan) for that which is great and adds relevance to movie itself :) The story behind Zack and Miri Make a Porno is simple - two young people who are very close friends decided to make a porno movie in order to earn some cash and cover their bills - but whole movie in general is very good and entertaining so i'm giving it 4 out of maximum 5... Use one quiet evening to watch this great comedy with your partner, you'll have good time and after it, well, you can make your own adult movie hehe ;) i'm kidding a bit... btw since i mentioned kids, don't ever let them look this movie, it's absolutely not for them :)

Eagle Eye is just another average action movie with lots of effects, explosions, car chasing and everything else action movies today are stuffed with... And just like most of other actions Eagle Eye has pretty lame plot with many already seen ideas (big and extra smart central computer takes control over human lives, planned conspiracy with president of USA as the ultimate target, scaring the s*it out of people that watch movie with terrorists from Middle East and seeing that you can be followed anywhere anytime without knowing it, etc...)... As i said, Eagle Eye is just average action thriller and i am giving it 2.5 out of maximum 5...

I just watched City Of Ember and i am a bit disappointed... The movie started great, straight to the point explaining us that an end to the World we know has came and that group of top experts in all vital areas of human societie escaped underground where they left instructions to future generations how to rebuild world and save human kind... Other then those several minutes movie is nothing but an average quality adventure... I love fantasy movies and adventures because of imagination and interesting stories in them but City Of Ember seems to had good idea only :( I'm giving it 3 out of maximum 5... Check it out but if you get bored after half an hour just quit it since it's like that 'till the end... If you however like it you might enjoy adventure with your family, kids will probably like it :)

Disaster Movie is parody to most of the popular movies made in 2008... Disaster Movie mixes events or characters from many movies including 10000 BC, Cloverfield, Juno, Hancock, latest Indiana Jones, Chronicles of Narnia 2, Enchanted, Night at The Museum, Sex and The City, Jumper, Iron Man, Batman, Hulk, Hellboy, Beowulf, Kung-Fu Panda and few others... I had few laughs with Disaster Movie but my overall impression is not very good so it will get only 2.5 out of maximum 5... If you don't have any better comedy to watch give Disaster Movie a chance, otherwise go for something better imo :)

I just watched Gran Torino... I've read some reviews before watching it and in most of them Gran Torino got pretty good comments but somehow this movie just wasn't for me :) don't get me wrong, it's not bad at all, it's just i personally didn't find it entertaining as i expected it to be... Clint Eastwood was an excellent bad-mood war veteran who got sick of local gangs and decided to help his neighbors... also the end of movie was not like 99% of today's movies would finish, he used his brains rather then brute force to put bad guys where they belong to and for that it has my compliments... I am giving 3 out of maximum 5 to Gran Torino which means you should see it and then deicide if you'll like it or not... it's ok movie but as i said, wasn't for me which doesn't mean you won't like it :) i say again, on many other sites it got pretty good rates...

I have read several reviews of Appaloosa before watching it and in some of them it got good ratings while in others it was rated as one of worst westerns made recently... I personally liked it and i think it's good movie, not one of best westerns but just a good one... Movie follows two cowboys that arrived to town called Appaloosa where they found big problems with gangsters that sheriff and town authorities couldn't solve... Two of them then made a deal with authorities to hand over town to them and in return they will protect it's citizens... I am not going to uncover further events in movie, i'll just say that all 3 main actors (Ed Harris, Viggo Mortensen and Jeremy Irons) did good job while main actress (Renee Zellweger) was pretty lame... As i said on start Appaloosa is worth watching at least once so i'm giving it 3.5 out of maximum 5... if you like westerns make it 4 :)

Meet Dave is one of the best comedy movies i have watched recently :) Eddie Murphy did awesome job playing this role... Meet Dave offers lots of entertainment and the idea behind whole movie is just so cute... Small alien people are searching for special space stone that fell on Earth (New York) in order to save their home planet, while they spend all time inside their space ship that looks just like human being :) if you have kids watch this movie with them, i think they'll like it... Meet Dave deserves somewhere between 4.5 but if you like comedies and adventures consider it a pure 5 which means you should definitely watch it and that it can easily become one of the movies you'll always get back to after some time...

After watching Death Race from 2008 i was satisfied with what i got... Just like it's name says this movie offers lots of action, races with weapons attached to cars, preparations between races, evil prison warden behind huge conspiracy, etc... If you like races and action movies i think you'll love this one. I'll rate it 3.5 out of maximum 5 which means it's good movie, worth watching, and that you can return to it after some time again and find it entertaining.
